Introductory German Notes

This site will be a brain dump of notes from introductory German class.
Both the act of creating a web page and reading that web page should help me learn the material.
The web site will be simple enough such that it should work on most modern web browsers even with reasonably strict security settings in place.
The maximum fancy formatting I am targeting is that the answer to some questions will not be visible until you click on it.
Individual pieces of the brain dump may or may not later become organized differently later.
The web host I am using forces file names to be lower case.
Case matters in German but not I am not going to find a different web host just so that I can have case sensistive file names.
Important Points

To Do:
Add notes on how to bring up characters with umlauts.
If you have a German keyboard, then they should be easy enough to bring up.
Otherwise, there are character sequences that you can type that will create them.
If you enter them enough times it will become automatic.
For now I will begin listing some.
Ö, ö...
Brauchen Sie ein ß?
While holding down the ALT key on a desktop or laptop computer, press the digits 225, then release the ALT key.
If that does not work for you, if you are using a number pad, verify that Num Lock is set.
